As a not for profit charitable organization,
the Design Exchange is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
There are meetings of the Executive Committee on a monthly
basis, and quarterly meetings of the full Board. There are
additional board committees such as the Permanent Collection
Committee, which provides advice on the acquisitions and maintenance
of the Design Exchange Permanent Collection of industrial
design objects. There is an Audit Committee responsible for
overseeing governance and accounting practices within the
DX. There is a Fundraising Committee responsible for guiding
the staff's activities with respect to fundraising, sponsorship
and membership.
