WHO WE ARE
The Design Exchange (DX) is the only design research, education and exhibition centre of its kind in North America. The DX is committed to educating Canadians about the value of design. It achieves its mandate through delivering educational programs, which include exhibitions, competitions, lectures, workshops, publications and advisory services. The Design Exchange is a not-for-profit organization that occupies the historic, former Toronto Stock Exchange building at Bay Street and King Street, located in the heart of Canada's financial district.

WHY VOLUNTEER?
The volunteer positions at DX are excellent opportunities for students who are pursuing studies in the field of design, professionals who want help raise the awareness of design or for those who simply have a passion about design. Volunteers will be immersed in an environment where they will be exposed to the numerous resources and programs that support the design industry.

COMMITMENT
DX depends on the commitment of its volunteers. The length of each shift varies with different volunteer position, but typically lasts 3-5 hours. A minimum of 4-month commitment is required for all positions. All volunteer positions occur Monday to Friday during regular business hours, from 9:00 am - 5:00pm, with the exception of Community and Resource Centre Volunteers. Please think carefully about how much time you can give.
