The tools and technologies used to shape materials in digital fabrication are permeating creative disciplines such as interior design, fashion, product design, and image arts. As a result, the ever present role of the licensed interior designer is changing dramatically.

Body Object Enclosure investigates how digital technology and fabrication in the context of interior design continues to advance our current education model and praxis by presenting a selection of works and never-before-displayed prototypes from the participating designers including pieces by Geoffrey Mann, In-flexions, Atelier Manferdini, and more.

The two-day symposium held at the Ryerson School of Interior Design and Design Exchange explores the topic of digital fabrication in the context of interior design and is organized around themes that reflect a change in scale from object to architecture in response to the range of scales found in the interior.
