P.A. DAY PROGRAMS 2015-16
 

 

Design Exchange provides engaging P.A. Day programs for budding designers ages eight to 13. Located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, the former Toronto Stock Exchange building offers a unique and inspiring setting for these specialized sessions. 

Led by a qualified team of instructors, the P.A. Day programs run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with complimentary before-care beginning at 8:30 a.m. Extended care is available from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for $10 per child. Session fees include all materials, snacks and applicable taxes.

Design Exchange is a nut-free environment. Young designers are asked to bring nut-free lunches and snacks.

Session Fees:

Non-members: $55/session
DX Individual & Family Members: $49.50/session
After-care (4 p.m.- 5:30pm): $10/session/child

Registration fees include HST. Receipts are provided for tax purposes.

Designing Fun 
Ages 8-13

Young designers will explore industrial design, graphic design, and mixed media through the world of toy design. Creating toy mash-ups and unique objects, campers will explore develop concepts and create everything, including a toy prototype and its packaging.

Dine + Design
Ages 8-13

From celebrity chefs to restaurant makeovers, food design is big business! Young designers will create their own mock-bistro, designing the graphics for the menu, the space's décor, and even new culinary experiences.

Designing The Story
Ages 8-13

Young designers will create personalized 'zines and graphic novels from cover to cover. Exploring the basics of bookmaking techniques and graphic design, participants will learn about paper, and binding and layout design.

Stylin' Design
Ages 8-13

Young designers will learn about the world of textiles and create their own unique designs. From printing and dyeing to weaving and everything in between, participants will explore the basics – repeats, borders and non-directional all over’s – in various mediums to create their own t-shirts.
