The theme of this years Doors Open at the Design Exchange is Design Farm - think Farmer's Market for design! Visitors will have the chance to tour our exhibitions, visit the Historic Trading Floor and peruse an assortment of local Canadian designs by an eclectic group of local designers.

IDS’s inaugural Conversations in Design launches on January 21, 2010. Leading designers from around the globe will share their practical experiences in green design, and dare to dream of a society that is no longer dependent on oil. The DX National Design Conference
The DX National Design Conference held in 2007 was successful and select conference proceedings were published in a book entitled 'Ourtopias' available for sale at the Design Exchange reception area. Unfortunately due to the downturn in the economy, the DX has decided to cancel the National Design Conference for 2009. This conference, entitled, Consequential Design, will be postponed until a later date.
Design Exchange (DX), in partnership with Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters and Industry Canada, are launching the first ever Canadian State of Design Report. The Report is available at the DX or can be downloaded here:
